About the race
The event takes place on September 5, 2026 at Lorain County Community College, Fitness Center, 1005 Abbe Rd N, Elyria, OH 44035. It includes a timed 5K run or walk and an untimed 1 mile walk.

The 5K uses MyLaps BibTag chip timing; the 1 mile is untimed. Pre-registration is available from April 30, 2026 to August 10, 2026 with a pre-registration fee of $30 and a race day fee of $35. Early packet pickup is offered on September 4 at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County, 1270 Abbe Road North. Race-day parking is available in Lot 6 on the north side of the college campus.
Awards are presented for top overall male and female and for the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 and over. Participants receive a commemorative race T-shirt and post-race refreshments. Proceeds support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County, which provides one-on-one mentoring for youth ages 6 to 19 and runs programs for social and emotional learning, academic enrichment and tutoring, career and college readiness, summer camps, a Learning Resource Center, and family engagement activities.
