About the race
The Bibra Lake Fun Run is an annual community running event held at Bibra Lake, traditionally on the second Sunday in September. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026 at the corner of Gwilliam and Progress Drives, Bibra Lake.
The event offers two course options around the lake:
- 6 km
- 12 km
The 6 km course is one clockwise lap of the lake. The 12 km course is two laps, staying on the pedestrian path for the second lap. The course is accessible for participants in wheelchairs and for parents with prams. Dogs are permitted on a short fixed lead, one dog per person, and those with dogs must start at the back of the marshalling area. Retractable leads are not permitted.
The event is free to attend; timed running requires prior registration. Bib collection is organised before the event at Cockburn ARC on specified days, with uncollected bibs available at the event from early morning. There will be a bag drop area managed by Neighbourhood Watch; organisers do not accept liability for valuables. Water refill facilities include a filtered water tank at the start/finish and a water station near the halfway mark. Friends of the Community will provide a free sausage sizzle and fruit after the event. Road closures and parking restrictions apply in the immediate event area during the event period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
