BHM26.2 2026 - The Alabama Race Series
BHM26.2 2026 is a multi-event race day in Hoover, Alabama on October 4, 2026. The event is presented as a fully charitable race series benefitting Magic Moments, a wish-granting organization for children in Alabama with chronic life-threatening or acute life-altering conditions. The weekend typically draws over 2,000 runners and includes a family-friendly after party at The Finley Center.

The marathon course is described as a 13.1-mile looped course through the city and neighborhoods of Hoover that features a mix of rolling hills, flat terrain, and a waterfront section. The course will have frequent water stations, cheer stations, and medical stations along the route.
The 5-person marathon relay lists leg options of 5 miles, 5 miles, 3.1 miles, 6.2 miles, and 6.9 miles. Teams may use fewer than five runners if members run consecutive legs, and relay teams receive their medals together at the official finish line. Registration for the relay opens February 1.
The half marathon and the 10K and 5K courses are routed through city and neighborhood streets and along waterfront sections, and are supported by water stations, medical support, and crowd support. The Kid’s Fun Run is stroller friendly, about 1/4 mile, and children under age eight must be accompanied by an adult.
An expo at The Finley Center takes place the day before the race and hosts packet pickup along with local vendors and race sponsors.
