Bewl New Year 10k & 5k
The event takes place on 10 January 2027 at Bewl Water, Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhurst, Kent TN3 8JH. The course follows trails around Bewl Reservoir and is described as multi-terrain, undulating and challenging, with reservoir views and sections through trees.
Two main race distances plus a junior event are offered:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- Junior run
Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for download. The race is returning to the Nice Work calendar after a short sabbatical and will be organised by the same race team. Marshals are described as enthusiastic and supportive. Included for entrants are a bespoke medal, free photographs and trophies and prizes for leading runners.
On-the-day entry fees, where available, are listed as £30 for the 10k, £25 for the 5k and £7 for the junior run. Event information will be sent to registered entrants prior to race day.
Access notes state Bewl Water is best reached by car. The site sits on the Kent and East Sussex border. The nearest train stations are Frant (about 5 miles) and Wadhurst (about 7 miles); there is no regular bus service directly to the reservoir, and a taxi from either station is noted as straightforward.
