Firle 5km Handicap Trail Race
Firle 5km Handicap Trail Race takes place on 27 September 2026 at Firle Village Hall, BN8 6NT, organised by 1066 Trail Races. The event is a handicap format: slower runners start first and faster runners start later, and entrants must supply a recent race or parkrun time when they enter.
The course is an out and back along The Old Coach Road track. It is undulating and offers views of the South Downs. The distance is approximately 5 km, with about 90% on trail or hard track and about 10% on quiet country lane and unmade road. As a trail event, the distance is approximate.
The entry limit is 50 people. Minimum age on the event date is 15 or older. The published entry fee is £15. Entries open 27 June 2026 and close 26 September 2026.
Facilities at the village hall include toilets, changing and parking. The course is fully marked and marshalled. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third places. A course map is available on request. Running with dogs is not permitted. Tea and cake are provided in the hall after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
