Berryville Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The event takes place on November 14, 2026, at Clarke County Parks & Recreation, 225 Al Smith Circle, Berryville, VA. Races use the park fitness trail and the roadway leading into the park. The start and finish are located in front of the parks and recreation building. Mile markers will be posted along the courses.
Distances
- 5 km circle course on trail and roadway, with a water station.
- 1 mile out and back on a flat trail for children age 10 and under, with volunteers in safety vests at the turnaround and half mile mark.
Chip timing is provided by 5 Runners Racing and the race is supported by Shenandoah Valley Runners. Entry fees vary by registration option and date; a no race shirt option is available. Members of Shenandoah Valley Runners receive a small registration discount. Registrations after October 25 incur a higher fee, and registration by October 31 guarantees a race shirt.
Awards include overall trophy plaques for the top three male and female finishers in each race, medals for the top three in each 10 year age group in the 5 km, and masters awards for age 40 and over. Door prizes and frozen turkeys will be awarded; participants must present their race bib to receive a door prize ticket.
For safety and insurance reasons no dogs on leashes, baby strollers, or headphones are allowed on the course. A community food drive will collect non glass pantry items on the Friday evening and Saturday morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
