Berryville Turkey Trot 5K and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The Berryville Turkey Trot 5K and the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run are scheduled for November 14, 2026 at Clarke County Parks & Recreation, 225 Al Smith Circle, Berryville, VA. The events use the fitness trail and the roadway leading into Chet Hobert Park, a 102 acre property west of Berryville. The start and finish line are located in front of the Parks & Rec building.

- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run - out and back on a flat trail for ages 10 and under
The 5K course includes a water station and posted mile markers. Volunteers in safety vests will staff the kids course, including the turnaround at the half mile mark. Chip timing is provided by 5 Runners Racing and the event is supported by the Shenandoah Valley Runners. A fire truck and an ambulance will be on site for children to view.
Registration opens June 30; main registration closes October 25. Standard fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile; fees increase after October 25 to $40 and $30 respectively. Members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners receive a $3 registration discount.
Overall plaques will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race. The top three in each 10 year age group in the 5K will receive medals, and masters winners age 40 and over will receive an award. Frozen turkeys and other door prizes will be distributed; participants may obtain a door prize ticket by showing their bib at the Parks & Rec building, and winners must be present. Bib pickup is available Friday November 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the John H. Enders Fire and Rescue Company social hall in Berryville, or at the race registration table before the events starting at 7:30 at the Parks & Rec building.
The event partners with FISH of Clarke County Food Pantry and will collect non glass canned and boxed food and personal care items. Requested items include canned soup, vegetables, meats and beans, boxed and canned pasta, cereal, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, rice, mashed potatoes, stuffing, peanut butter, jelly, baking items and personal care supplies.
