Event overview

Berkorun is a road running event in Berkhamsted on 1 March 2026, organised by the Berkhamsted Rotary Club. Two race options are offered:

  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • Five Mile Run (5 miles)

The Half Marathon course runs through Chilterns countryside with mile markers and several drinks stations. The Five Mile Run follows the first part of the Half Marathon route, with about two thirds on country roads and one uphill section, and a drinks station around the halfway point. Both races start and finish at Berkhamsted Cricket Club, Castle Hill, Berkhamsted HP4 1HE, a short walk from the railway station and the town.

Entry, rules and facilities

Registration is online only and entry limits are 1,750 for the Half Marathon and 750 for the Five Mile Run. Half Marathon entrants must be 17 or older and able to complete the course in under 3 hours. The Five Mile Run has no formal age limit but participants under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged over 18. Race packs include a chipped bib and baggage label. Official race numbers must be worn on the chest and electronic chips are used for timing. Finishers receive a medal and goody bag; Half Marathon finishers also receive a T-shirt. Facilities include a baggage tent, limited changing rooms, toilet facilities, and pay-and-display parking within 500 metres. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed.
