Bend Marathon and Half
The Bend Marathon and Half is an annual road race weekend in Bend, Oregon that offers multiple distances and community-oriented programming. The event includes a marathon, a half marathon, a 10k, a 5k, a free kids race, and a youth 5k. Courses route through West Bend, passing neighborhood parks, ponderosa pine forests, and along the Deschutes River before finishing in an iconic Bend location.
For its 12th edition the event program includes live music, an expanded finish area, and additional vendors. An afterparty follows the races with local craft beer and food available. The event highlights local beneficiaries and sustainability initiatives that organizers say they are continuing and expanding.
Support services and participant options noted by the organizer include packet pickup at a local running store and at the race site, a runner tracking option via the Race Joy app, and policies for transfers and deferrals with specified deadlines. New adaptive training plans are available through a partnering coach platform for the 2027 race.
A free virtual youth running program is offered for Central Oregon youth. Participants may complete any virtual distance and, upon reporting completion by the stated deadline, receive a corresponding medal.
