Bend Beer Chase - Bend, Oregon, May 1, 2027
The Bend Beer Chase is a one-day running relay in Bend, Oregon, covering approximately 57 miles and organized as a multi-leg team event. The relay consists of 12 legs of varying distance; teams may be composed of between 1 and 6 people. On a full six-person team, each runner completes two legs; smaller teams split the 12 legs among fewer runners.
The course begins along the Deschutes River at downtown Bend’s Drake Park, follows scenic trails and rural back roads to Redmond, and returns to Drake Park for a finish that includes a riverside beer festival. Local breweries host exchange points along the route where participants may choose to sample craft beer in 3-4 oz pours; consumption is optional. Every team must have a designated driver and designated drivers are not permitted to consume alcohol during the event.

The event is produced by Cascade Relays and supports the Cascade Relays Foundation; Cascade Relays reports more than $890,000 given to local charities since 2008.
