Course and format

Both races start and end on the Belmont High School track. The 5K route is USATF certified and chip-timed and goes through the Winn Brook neighborhood. The 2K route is chip-timed and goes near Claypit Pond by Belmont High School. Children aged 10 years or under must be accompanied by an adult. Professional race timing is provided by Second Wind Timing.

Logistics and services

The event takes place at Belmont High School Harris Field, 291 Concord Ave, Belmont, MA 02478. Packet pickup includes bibs, race shirts, and gift bags; a pre-race pickup is scheduled the day before the race near the high school. The first 350 registered participants will receive a superlight "quick-dri" race shirt. Listed fees are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 2K, with higher day-of fees noted. Awards include overall and age-group prizes for the 5K, top finishers in the 2K for youth, and team awards with specific team-size and gender requirements. Medical aid is supported by the Belmont Fire Department EMS Bike Unit. Post-race refreshments include bread and bagels, water and bananas, and an ice cream sandwich for each kid runner under 18.
