Bellingham Bay Marathon
The Bellingham Bay Marathon is an annual multi-distance event held in Bellingham, Washington. Established in 2007 by the Bellingham Bay Swim Team, the event features several race options including a full marathon, relay, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. The event is structured to support local youth non-profit organizations, with 100% of net proceeds benefiting the Whatcom Football Club Rangers and the Bellingham Bay Swim Team.
The full marathon and relay follow a point-to-point course. This route begins at the Lummi Nation School and concludes at Depot Market Square. The other race distances utilize Depot Market Square as the starting location. Participants in the marathon and relay can pick up their packets at the start line on the day of the race, while participants for shorter distances pick up their materials at the Depot Market Square. A pre-race packet pickup is also available the day before at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal.
Following the races, a celebration takes place at the finish line area. This event features amenities such as live music and a beer garden.
