Belleville Main Street Marathon & Half Marathon
The Belleville Main Street Marathon and Belleville Main Street Half Marathon take place in Belleville, Illinois, on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The event marks the 10th anniversary of the race and notes the half marathon's designation as the Road Runners Club of America Illinois State Championship Event.
Both races use Main Street and other city roads in Belleville. The full marathon is USATF certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifying course; it also includes about ten miles on a paved trail. Volunteers will be positioned along the course to provide support and encouragement.
Event entries include an event T shirt and a finisher medal. The first 900 registrants received a pair of Goodr sunglasses at packet pickup; the 900th registration was reached on 08/01/26, so later registrants were outside that qualifying window. To be guaranteed an event shirt size, registration had to be completed by September 13. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. Age limits are 18 years and older for the full marathon and 13 years and older for the half marathon; participants under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to register and accept the waiver.
The event is organized by volunteers from the Belleville Running Club and Toolen's Running Start. It operates as a non profit with proceeds reinvested into the community, including a community food pantry, Belleville Parks and Recreation, and a college scholarship fund. The 2025 race donated $20,000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
