Belleville Main Street Marathon and Half Marathon : September 26, 2026
The Belleville Main Street Marathon and Half Marathon take place in Belleville, Illinois, with the event center at 19 Public Square (Main and First Streets). The weekend features two road races that run along Main Street and other city roads.
Both the full and half marathon courses are organized by a volunteer team and the event operates as a non-profit, with proceeds reinvested into local programs including a community food pantry, Belleville Parks and Recreation, and a college scholarship fund for Belleville high school students. The 2025 race donated $20,000 to local causes. The half marathon is designated as the Road Runners Club of America Illinois State Championship Event. The full marathon is USTAF certified and accepted as a Boston Marathon qualifier; it also includes about ten miles on a paved trail.
Registrants receive a race T-shirt and a finisher's medal. As part of the 10th anniversary celebration, the first 900 registrants receive a pair of Goodr sunglasses at packet pickup; as of 6/12/26, 200 pairs remained. Post-race provisions include pizza from Bennie's Pizza Pub, a special beer brewed by Shoehorn Brewing for participants aged 21 and older, and a DJ for post-race atmosphere.
