Event details
The 2026 Bell Center 5K takes place on March 14, 2026 at The Bell Center, 1700 29th Ct. S., Homewood, AL 35209. The event includes a 5K race and a children's fun dash of 50 ft for children attending therapy at The Bell Center. The race benefits The Bell Center, which provides early intervention therapy for hundreds of children from across Alabama. Top finishers in various categories will receive awards. A post-race party with music, food, and drinks is planned.
Course and accessibility
The course runs through the heart of Homewood, passing Homewood Park, tree-lined streets, and local landmarks. The event permits strollers, wheelchairs and other mobility devices, and leashed dogs.
Participation and fundraising
Multiple entry options are offered for different ages and participation types. Youth entries are available for ages 5 to 11 and ages 5 to 17 for junior categories; adult entries are open to ages 12 and older. Participants may register as fundraisers (BellRunner), as standard race participants, as fundraising-only, or for a commemorative T-shirt only. BellRunners are asked to raise $100 per mile for a total fundraising goal of $310 and are eligible to create teams and set up personal fundraising pages.
