Belfast City Marathon 2026
The Phoenix Energy Belfast City Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 03 May 2026 and starts from Stormont Estate, Prince of Wales Avenue. The full marathon covers 26.2 miles and the course is AIMS certified; competitors must start at the official start line and complete the measured course.
The same day includes a Team Relay event that also starts at Stormont Estate. The Team Relay is split into five legs with changeover points along the route:
- Leg 1: Stormont Estate to Montgomery Road, 4.2 miles
- Leg 2: Montgomery Road to Boucher Road, 6.8 miles
- Leg 3: Boucher Road to Falls Road, 4.5 miles
- Leg 4: Falls Road to Duncairn Gardens, 5 miles
- Leg 5: Duncairn Gardens to Ormeau Park, 5.7 miles
Other Belfast City events and dates listed for 2026 include the Belfast City Women`s 10k on 21 June starting in the Titanic Quarter, the Belfast City Half Marathon on 20 September starting in Ormeau Park, and a Belfast City 5k Fun Run on 15 November starting at Belfast City Hall.
Event services include an Expo and Pack Collection at the Waterfront Hall for marathon, relay, and half marathon packs; 5k packs are posted and details for the 10k collection are to be confirmed. Time limits apply: marathon and relay six hours, half marathon three hours, 10k two hours, 5k one hour. Transfers may be processed via Eventmaster within specified windows and a no refund policy applies; medical deferrals can be requested with supporting documentation.
