About the race
Beer City Half™ OC takes place on November 7, 2026, at Centennial Park in Santa Ana (3000 West Edinger Ave). The event includes multiple running distances along the Santa Ana River Trail and several beer-focused activities.
The half marathon runs on the south side of the Santa Ana River Trail, crosses a pedestrian bridge in Huntington Beach, and turns around within sight of the Huntington Beach River Jetty. The half marathon has a net altitude gain of 266 feet.
The shorter running courses are out and back routes on the south side of the Santa Ana River Trail. The 10k turns around shortly after Moon Park in Costa Mesa. The 5k turns around where Slater Avenue becomes W Segerstrom, on the border of Fountain Valley and Santa Ana.
Other activities at Centennial Park include a Beer Stroll with small beer servings and a short walk around the park, a Beat the Beast Beer Mile that pairs four beer drinks with quarter-mile runs between them (no shotgunning; losing to the Beast or vomiting results in elimination), and a Beer Tasting where unlimited tasting is included with run entries and separate tickets are available for others.

- 13.1 Miles Half Marathon: along Santa Ana River Trail, turnaround near Huntington Beach River Jetty.
- 6.2 Miles 10k: out and back, turns shortly after Moon Park in Costa Mesa.
- 3.1 Miles 5k: out and back, turnaround where Slater Ave becomes W Segerstrom.
- 1 Mile Beer Stroll: short walk around Centennial Park with small beer servings.
- 1 Mile Beat the Beast Beer Mile: drink four 12 beers and run a quarter mile between each.
- Beer Tasting Unlimited tasting included with run entries; separate tickets for others.
