2026 Beecher Freedom 5K Run/Walk
The Beecher Freedom 5K Run/Walk is the 20th annual community race held in Beecher, Illinois on July 4, 2026. Start, finish, and registration take place at the Community Hall, 673 Penfield St. The event is sponsored by and serves as a major fundraiser for the Beecher Lion's Club.

Pre-registration is available with an entry fee of $18. Race shirts are offered for an additional $13 while supplies last; shirts are not available after June 25. Race day registration is listed at $25 and does not include shirts. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026.
The course winds through the village and includes a water station at the halfway point. Miles are accurately marked and the event uses computerized timing. Free refreshments are provided after the race.
Proceeds support local services provided by the Beecher Lion's Club, including vision screenings and assistance with eyeglasses and hearing aids for residents with financial need. Sponsors named for the event include Alicia's House Food Pantry, Bahlman Oil Co., Beecher Floor Coverings, Berkot's Finer Foods, Earthrise Energy, First Community Bank and Trust, Hack-Jensen Funeral Home, and Village Realty.
