Beecher Freedom 5K Run/Walk : July 4, 2026
The 20th Annual Beecher Freedom 5K is a community 5 kilometer event held in Beecher, Illinois. Start/Finish and registration are located at the Community Hall, 673 Penfield St. The course winds through the Village of Beecher and includes a water station at the halfway point. Miles are accurately marked and computerized timing is used. Free refreshments are provided after the event.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Pre-registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026. The pre-registered entry fee is $18. Race shirts are available for an additional $13 but are not available after June 25; no shirts are available on race day. Race day registration costs $25. Same-day registration and check-in are available.
This event is sponsored by and is a major fundraiser for the Beecher Lion's Club. Proceeds support the club’s efforts to provide vision screenings, eyeglasses, and hearing aids to local residents in need. The event has attracted over 230 participants in the previous year.
