Beecher Freedom 5K Run/Walk : 2026
The Beecher Freedom 5K is the 20th annual community 5K run and walk held in Beecher, Illinois on July 4, 2026. Start, finish, and registration are at the Community Hall, 673 Penfield St, Beecher, IL 60401. The course winds through the Village of Beecher and includes a water station at the halfway point. Distances offered:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
The event features accurately marked miles, computerized timing, and free refreshments after the race. Pre-registration carries an entry fee of $18; race shirts are an additional $13. Race day registration is $25 and no shirts are available on race day. Note that shirts are not available after June 25.
The race is sponsored by and serves as a major fundraiser for the Beecher Lion's Club. Proceeds support local services including vision screenings, eye glasses, and hearing aids for residents needing financial assistance.
