Bedrock Valley Trail Runs
Bedrock Valley Trail Runs is a multi-event weekend at Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet, California. The program combines trail running courses and gravel bike routes set in an area with Ice Age bedrock where remains of mastodons and other prehistoric dinosaurs were found.
Running options follow lakeside and double track trails with varied formats and distances. The Trail Marathon follows a relatively flat loop around the lake and finishes on double track. The Trail Half Marathon is an out and back along the lake bed. The 15K mixes flat, fast sections and double track. The 10K is a fast out and back with lake views. The 5K is a fast and flat out and back. A stroller specific 5K is a flat out and back reserved for strollers. A non timed Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is open to children 10 and younger; all kids receive a finisher medal and other goodies.
Gravel bike options ride laps around Diamond Valley Lake and accept gravel, mountain, and e bikes. Distances include single, double, and triple lap formats and a kids gravel ride for riders 15 and under. The event series is cupless; no cups are provided at aid stations and participants must carry their own hydration vessel. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
