Bedrock Valley Trail Runs
Bedrock Valley Trail Runs is a two-day trail and gravel event held April 11–12, 2026 around Diamond Valley Lake near Hemet, California. The program includes multiple trail distances, stroller and youth races, and gravel bike rides that loop the lake.
The site is noted for paleontological finds; remains of mastodons and other prehistoric animals were discovered in the bedrock where the lake now rests.
Race offerings include:
- Trail Marathon - 26.2 Miles
- Trail Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
- 15K - 9.3 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
- STAMPEDE 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Stroller Trail 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Elevated Youth 1M - 1 Mile
- Gravel Ride 36K - one lap around Diamond Valley Lake (~22.4 miles)
- Gravel Rock Bike 72K - two laps (~44.7 miles)
- Gravel Rock Bike 108K - three laps (~67 miles)
- Gravel Kids Ride 10K - out and back 6.2 miles, 15 and under
Several trail courses are described as out and back or loop formats with sections of double track, flat and fast segments, and lake views. The kids 1 mile fun run is non timed and open to children 10 and younger; all children receive a finisher’s medal and other items. The event is operated as a cupless series; aid stations will not provide cups and participants are expected to use their own hydration vessel.
