The event benefits Kateswell, a Central Ohio non-profit that supports cancer patients during their treatment. All race registration fees are designated to support a Kateswell fund created in honor of a runner who loved Halloween and died of breast cancer. The previous edition reported over 800 participants and raised more than $60,000 for local families affected by cancer. Costumes are encouraged at the event.
