Because You Can 5K - Dublin, Ohio
The Because You Can 5K is a Halloween fun run, walk and community celebration held on November 1 at Dublin Jerome High School, 8300 Hyland-Croy Rd, Dublin, Ohio. The event was created in memory of an avid runner and Halloween enthusiast who died of breast cancer. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and to gather with family and friends for a day of movement and community.
The event supports Kateswell and its Leslie Ungerott Fund, which provides direct financial assistance to Central Ohio families facing cancer. That assistance covers housing, utilities, food, medical expenses and transportation. Sponsors cover the costs of producing the race so 100% of every registration and donation goes to helping families. Each participant receives an official Because You Can concert inspired race shirt.

Entry information lists a 5K registration fee of $40 through race day and an optional race shirt available for $20. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for October 30 and October 31 at Mikey’s Late Night Slice in Dublin Bridge Park, with times to be announced.
