Beaverton Half Marathon : event summary
The event takes place in Beaverton with the start and finish on SW Gemini and SW Nimbus Avenue near Portland Running Company (PRC Beaverton). It offers multiple distances and uses neighborhood streets and the Fanno Creek Trail on parts of the course. Organizers revised the route to use more of the Fanno Creek Path and to reduce congested road crossings.
Distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Course notes: the half marathon and the 10K share the first 6.21 miles. The 5K crosses Hall Boulevard, follows Fanno Creek to a turn-around, and is an out-and-back. After returning to the start/finish, half marathoners complete a second loop. On the Fanno Creek Trail runners and walkers should stay two-abreast and keep to the right in narrow sections. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Logistics and services: packet pick up is available Friday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Portland Running Company and on race morning at the start/finish area. Parking is free in the surrounding business park; PRC parking is not permitted. A gear check is located just north of PRC on SW Gemini. Results are updated live and finish text alerts are sent if a cell phone number was provided.
