Beaverton Half Marathon
The event offers multiple race distances and uses streets and trails in Beaverton with start and finish along SW Gemini and SW Nimbus Avenue near Portland Running Company in Beaverton.
Distances
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The half marathon and 10K share the first 6.21 miles. Half marathoners return to the start/finish area for a second loop. The 5K is an out-and-back course with a turnaround on Fanno Creek and crosses Hall Boulevard. Much of the route uses the Fanno Creek Trail; runners and walkers are asked to stay two abreast and to the right on trail sections.
Walkers are welcome and the course is open for four hours. An early walk option is available for half marathon walkers who expect a pace of 15:00 minutes per mile or slower; that option is untimed and participants must follow all rules of the road until other racers join.
Packet pickup is available Friday, September 18, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Portland Running Company in Beaverton, and Saturday at the start/finish area. Gear check is located near the start/finish. Parking is free in the surrounding business park; attendees are asked not to park at Portland Running Company and will be directed by volunteers.
Timing and results are posted in real time and finish text alerts are available for entrants who registered with a cell phone. Ribbons are awarded three deep in age groups from 14 & under through 80 & over. Strollers and dogs are not allowed on the race course. Included with entry are a NIKE event tee, a pint glass, a commemorative medal, and a post race party with music, food, dancing and a beer garden. The event organizer does not offer refunds.
