Course
The course is a loop, starting and finishing at the Beaverhead Brewing Company in Dillon, Montana. Runners go through the streets of Dillon and then through agricultural land.
The course surface is a mix of dirt and pavement. The full marathon is approximately one-third dirt and two-thirds pavement. The half marathon course is entirely on pavement.
The elevation at the start, on course, and at the finish is 5,240 feet (approximately 1,600 meters). There are 10 aid stations on the course. They provide water, Heed (an electrolyte drink), gels, fruit, and other snacks. The event is fueled by Hammer Nutrition.
Dogs are not allowed on the course. Strollers are allowed and encouraged.
Participant Items and Finish Line
Each participant receives a race bag containing a hat, stickers, Hammer Nutrition products, and other sponsor items. All finishers receive a medal. After the race, participants get a burger, drink, chips, and one complimentary beer from the Beaverhead Brewing Company.
Registration and Policies
The event has a no-refund policy. Packet pick-up is available at the Beaverhead Brewing Company on the day before the race and on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
