Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run
The Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run takes place in Dillon, Montana, on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The event is organized by the Beaverhead Trails Coalition in partnership with the Beaverhead County High School cross country team. Races are held at the Dillon Town Overlook Trailhead, 1700 10 Mile Road, Dillon, MT. Food and awards follow the races at the trailhead; runners are admitted free and spectators pay $5.00.

Course and logistics
All courses are off-pavement on the High Trails system through sagebrush hills with views of the Beaverhead River Valley. The 15k course is about 90% single-track and lists approximately 2400 feet of climbing. The 5k course includes steeper sections climbing over 500 feet and finishes with a downhill final kilometer. Course maps show multiple aid station locations for both distances. The 15k route may change; maps will be updated if the track changes. Early packet pick-up and late registration are held the day before at the Patagonia Outlet store. The races are chip timed by the Butte Track Club.
