Beaufort Historic Rotary Road Race

The Beaufort Historic Rotary Road Race returns for its 47th year in Beaufort, North Carolina. This annual event takes place on Front Street and offers several distances for participants. The race supports philanthropic causes, including Rotary International's mission to immunize children against polio and the Carteret County Domestic Violence Program.

Available distances include:

  • 10K running race
  • 5K run and walk
  • 1 Mile run and walk

The event is designed to accommodate various participants, including wheelchair users and baby joggers in all three distances. Dogs are also permitted at the event provided they are on a leash or in a stroller. Registration is conducted online, and there is no charge for children aged 12 and under in the 1 Mile and 5K categories.

The race uses disposable bib tags for timing. Awards are presented to top finishers in several categories, including the top three overall male and female participants in the 5K and 10K, as well as masters, age group, wheelchair, and baby jogger divisions. Medallions are also awarded to the oldest and youngest finishers across all three races.

Participants can pick up their race packets at the Train Depot on the day before the event or at the race site on the morning of it. The Town of Beaufort provides free parking in public lots on race morning until 10:30 a.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
