Beat the Heat 5K - Lexington
The inaugural Beat the Heat 5K takes place on July 11, 2026, at Coldstream Park / Legacy Trail in Lexington, Kentucky (1850 Pisacano Drive, 40511). The event includes a timed 5K run/walk on paved trail surfaces described as scenic and flat/fast. Awards will be given to top finishers and a custom race T-shirt is included with 5K registration while supplies last. Packet pickup will be available on race morning.

- 5K Run/Walk, 3.1 miles
- FREE Kid's Dash (9 and under), 200 yards
The Kid's Dash is untimed, free of charge, and does not include a shirt; all participating children receive a participation medal. Parents may add a shirt for a $10 fee and are welcome to run or walk with their children.
Volunteer roles are listed for race day; the organizer requests several volunteers to work a three hour race day shift. Volunteers receive a commemorative race T-shirt for helping.
Registration opens May 26, 2026. Early registration is $25 through June 15; a higher fee applies from June 16 through July 11 according to the published pricing.
