The Cook Medical Beat the Heat 5K takes place on July 18, 2026 at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds, 410 Deacon Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The event has been held for more than 30 years and is a charity race. It is the National 5K Championship Race for the Road Runners Club of America and is part of the We Run Winston race series by Fleet Feet Winston-Salem/Clemmons. Proceeds support local nonprofit organizations that promote health and fitness.
