Bear's Den Fitness Run & Reps Challenge

The event combines running and bench press across three identical rounds on 07/25/2026 in Boyertown, PA at 400 E 2nd St, Garage. Each round consists of a 1 Mile run followed by a set of maximum unbroken bench press repetitions. Timing begins with the first run and ends when the final rep of the third round is completed.

Each completed bench press rep subtracts 10 seconds from the competitor's total time. Divisions include RX, Scaled, and 55 plus, with gender-specific weight standards. Bench press weights are calculated from body weight measured with shoes on, then the required weight is the specified percentage of that measurement and rounded down to the nearest 5 lb.

RX percentages are Men 80% and Women 60%; RX 55 plus are Men 70% and Women 50%. Scaled percentages are Men 60% and Women 40%; Scaled 55 plus are Men 50% and Women 30%. Minimum bench press weights are 45 lb for men and 35 lb for women. An example from the weight rule: a 172 lb measurement in RX Men yields 80% = 137.6 lb, which is rounded down to 135 lb.
