Beacons Ultra, Beacons Marathon and Beacons Half Marathon

The Beacons Ultra, Beacons Marathon and Beacons Half Marathon take place around the Brecon Beacons on Saturday 7th November 2026. The courses use mixed terrain: trail, mountain, canal and road, arranged as three separate distances.

Held in mid-November, climatic conditions can vary considerably. Past editions have seen bright sunshine through to temperatures around minus 8 degrees, often with rain and mist.

The event is scheduled at the end of the UK ultra season and attracts a wide range of abilities, from world-class competitors to athletes taking part in an ultrarun for the first time. Organisers and marshals are described as welcoming and supportive.
