Beacons Ultra, Marathon and Half 2026
The event comprises three trail races around Talybont-on-Usk in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, held on 7 November 2026. Races use mixed terrain including trail, mountain, canal and road sections. Weather in November can vary considerably, with conditions noted from sunshine to minus 8 degrees Celsius, and frequent rain and mist.
The courses and key statistics:
- 49 mile Ultra: two loops of a 23 mile course with an out-and-back to Pen y Fan on the first loop.
- 26 mile Marathon: single loop of the classic Ultra route with a visit to Pen y Fan.
- 13 mile Half Marathon: route to the east of Talybont on Usk, including Tor Y Foel and the Talybont reservoir.
Total ascent figures are provided for each distance: Ultra 2,258 metres / 7,408 feet; Marathon 1,319 metres / 4,327 feet; Half Marathon 543 metres / 1,781 feet. Minimum age to enter is 18 years. The event starts and finishes in Talybont-on-Usk, with Henderson Hall listed as the venue location. The event is organized by Andali Events.
