Beach2Beach 2026
Beach2Beach is a community charity running event on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, linking several coastal start points to a Finish Festival at Newport Beach. The event has been held since 1994 and directs proceeds to local charitable organisations. Routes follow coastal roads and reserves, offering views of multiple beaches and local landmarks.
Age categories are offered for youth and children in several distances. The event includes a family friendly Finish Festival at Newport Beach. Course highlights described by the organiser include Dee Why Lagoon and Turimetta Headland, and one course notes there is no sand running.
Distances
- Half Marathon from Dee Why to Newport Beach
- 14 km from Dee Why around Dee Why Lagoon to Newport Beach
- 6 km from Warriewood (Rat Park) to Newport Beach
- 3 km from Mona Vale to Newport Beach
The programme includes separate entries for adults, juniors (10–17) and children where applicable. Several start locations are used depending on distance, and many courses converge toward the finish at Newport. The overall format combines marked routes along the coastline with an onshore festival atmosphere at the finish, and the event is presented as a community fundraiser for local organisations.
