Beach and Back Half Marathon & 5K
The Beach and Back Half Marathon & 5K is the 10th annual running event in Marshfield, MA organized by Wicked Fast Race Co. in partnership with RaceWire. It offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
Packet pickup is scheduled on the two days before the race at Marathon Sports in Norwell, with race day pickup near the finish at the Brant Rock esplanade at 278 Ocean St., in The Jetty parking lot. Bib numbers are emailed the week of the race and entrants may pick up bibs for others if they have those bib numbers.
Course maps are provided for both distances and the course will be marked with red directional arrows, orange spray chalk, and volunteers at key turns. Runners are asked to follow the course markings, stay to the right, and watch for traffic.
Half Marathon entrants receive a custom beach towel, a custom drawstring bag, a large finisher medal, one free beer at The Jetty Restaurant for participants 21 and older with ID, a post race party at The Jetty, free snacks, and a professionally chip timed bib. 5K entrants receive a custom beach towel, a finisher medal, one free beer for 21 and older with ID, a post race party, free snacks, and a chip timed bib.
Awards are handed out on site only. Prizes include top three overall male and female finishers and male and female winners in age groups 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. Designated parking areas are shown on the event map, there is no parking allowed on Plymouth Avenue, and a larger lot at Governor Winslow School about 1.5 miles from the start offers a shuttle running regularly; runners receive boarding priority while spectators may also use the shuttle.
