The Be the One Run is a 5K event taking place in Angier, North Carolina. It will be held at Harnett Central High School, located at 2911 Harnett Central Road.

The event is associated with the American Legion's Be The One initiative, which focuses on veteran suicide prevention. The program trains civilians to support veterans who may be at risk and works to reduce the stigma around mental health treatment.

Registration opens on March 1, 2026. The entry fee is listed as $35 for general participants, though other information notes a fee of $20.00 for nonveterans, while veterans can participate for free. Event Day Program

The 5K festivities include the posting of the colors and the National Anthem. A "Lap of Honor," led by American Legion Post 436, will recognize veterans present before the 5K begins. The race will be timed using a digital race clock.
