Be The Change 4.12 Miler is a community running event held in North Park at 10301 Pearce Mill Rd, Allison Park, PA. The event is organized by Operation Impact and includes an on-site post race celebration.
Race options include both in-person and virtual events:
- 4.12 Mile race
- 1 Mile fun run/walk (untimed, family)
- Virtual 4.12 Mile
- 1 Mile virtual run/walk
The 4.12 mile distance is used in place of a traditional 5K; organizers note the distance reflects going the extra mile and references Pittsburgh area code 412. Proceeds support educational programming through the event’s main partner, Urban Impact Foundation, which works with youth on Pittsburgh’s North Side.
Participants registered by May 18 are guaranteed a commemorative race shirt; shirts after that date are not guaranteed. Awards for the 4.12 Mile event include top three overall male and female finishers. The event’s stated refund policy is no refunds.
