GEELKLIP SPRING RUSH 2026: OCR, MTB and Trail Run
GEELKLIP SPRING RUSH 2026 is a multi-discipline outdoor event held at GeelKlip - Middelwater Plaas near Bloemfontein in the Free State. The venue is on R30 Brandfort Road, about 30 km outside of Bloemfontein, on farm terrain with jeep tracks and farm roads.
The event includes mountain biking, trail running and obstacle course racing with distinct course options and distances:
- MTB: 26 km and 47 km, no loops, single-route experiences
- Trail Run: 8 km, 15 km, 20 km, mostly flat and following jeep tracks
- OCR: 3 km fun OCR, 7 km obstacle course with 25+ obstacles, plus a Kiddies OCR or 5 km trail run for under‑11s
Additional options include a combined entry that pairs a 26 km MTB with a 15 km trail run, subject to availability. The 7 km OCR entry includes a finisher medal and a post-race drink. Pricing varies by class; a kiddies option is offered at a lower entry fee.
The courses utilise the Middelwater farm surroundings and aim to provide varied outdoor experiences for riders, runners and obstacle racers.
