#Be A Buddy 5K

#Be A Buddy 5K is a charity run scheduled for October 17, 2026 at Space Coast Field of Dreams in West Melbourne, Florida. The event benefits The Parker Foundation for Autism and Child Development, a Florida based 501c3 that provides free resources and programs for children, teens, and young adults with autism and special needs and their families.

The event program includes an in person Individual 5K and a Virtual 5K Run/Walk. Online registration opens February 15 and closes October 15. Packet pickup and on site registration are available the day before at Running Zone and on race day at the field of dreams venue. Standard fees are listed for adults and children with higher on site fees for late registration.

Race amenities listed by the organizer include a race T shirt with a no T shirt option for an additional fee, a finisher medal, post race refreshments, awards presentations, DJ and entertainment, and a Family Health and Fitness EXPO with sponsors, vendors, trick or treating for children, and activities. Adaptive sports stations for families will offer tennis, basketball, and soccer led by student volunteer buddies. Participants can also take the Be a Buddy Pledge and sign a large Unity Banner.
