Event overview
The Baystate Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026. The event is hosted by the Greater Lowell Road Runners (GLRR) and is organized entirely by volunteers. The race is a Boston qualifier (BQ) and received regional and national BQ rankings for 2025.

Course and race features
Recent race improvements include finish-line monitors that display a runner’s name and finishing time, courtesy changing tents next to the bag check in the finisher’s area, and an expo located on the course to ease bib pickup and familiarize runners with the last mile. A race fly-through video and a personalized photo gallery are available the day after the race. A BQ/PR bell with a dedicated photographer is available for finishers who wish to stop and ring it. A Recovery Tent will offer massage and physical-therapy assistance. The course also includes a "Motivation Mile" with signs carrying inspirational messages. There is no live video feed of the race.
Community and proceeds
All race proceeds are distributed to the local running community. Registration fees support GLRR programs including scholarships for local high school seniors, the GLRR Youth Program, donations to local high schools that volunteer at water stops, and partial funding of benefits associated with GLRR membership.
