Bayfield Firecracker 5K & 2K fun run/walk
The Bayfield Firecracker event takes place on July 4, 2026 in Bayfield, Colorado, at Eagle Park / Town Hall, 1199 Bayfield Pkwy, by the Eagle statue. This is the 19th annual running tradition in the community.
Event distances include:
- Firecracker 5K - 3.1 Miles
- Firecracker 2K - 1.24 Miles
Registration details are published for the event. Adult and teen fees for the 5K are $25 and for the 2K are $20; these entries include a t-shirt or hat while supplies last. Kids 12 and under are free with an adult registration. Race day fees are higher: adults and teens $30 and kids 12 and under $5. Registration opening and closing dates fall in June and early July 2026.
One hundred percent of registration fees support the young athletes at Ignite Gymnastics. The event is described as a fun run, with participants tracking their own times.
