Bay Bridge Walk/Run for a Cause
The event takes place on 11 August 2026 in Annapolis, Maryland at 550 Taylor Ave. It features a 10K course that crosses the eastbound side of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on foot, running from Anne Arundel County to Kent Island, and concludes with a post race celebration.
Participation is organized by the Walk the Walk Foundation and supports provision of essential items for children in the local community, including diapers, school supplies, and Christmas gifts. The foundation has a fundraising goal of $50,000 for this event.
There are two registration options for the 10K. One option is a fundraiser entry with no registration fee and a requirement to fundraise. The other option is a standard participant entry with a registration fee of $70.00; participants who fundraise at least $250 may receive a $100 refund of their registration fee.
Organizers state that there is no race day purchasing of parking. Registration opens on 20 April 2026 and closes on 31 October 2026 for the fundraiser entry and on 4 May 2026 for the standard participant entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
