Battle of the Branches 5K Run
Battle of the Branches is an annual 5K run and walk held at Arizona Falls on East Indian School Road in Phoenix. The event raises awareness and funds to address Veteran suicide and supports veteran-specific services including navigation, peer support, advocacy, and education.
The in-person event is organized as a friendly competition between branches of the military; one branch earns a title for having the most registered participants. Proceeds support the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program, which provides guidance, resource access, and peer support for Veterans, service members, and their families. Virtual participation is offered so supporters can complete the 5K at another location; virtual registrations are limited to US addresses and event items are shipped after the event date.
Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a dri-fit tech shirt unless they choose a no-shirt option. Race day awards recognize the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 8 and under through 80 and over. The event includes chip timing with real time results and event photos available online and via a mobile app. Packet pickup is available on race day at Arizona Falls. Wheelchairs, strollers, and leashed pets are permitted with placement requirements; bicycles and motorized devices are not allowed on the course.
