Battle of the Branches 5K Run : Arizona Falls, Phoenix
Battle of the Branches is an annual 5K run and walk held at Arizona Falls on October 3, 2026. The event raises awareness and funds in the effort to reduce Veteran suicide. Registration proceeds support veteran-specific services including Navigation, Peer Support, Advocacy, and Education through the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program.
The event features a friendly competition among military branches, with one branch earning a title for the most registered participants. Race day programming includes a welcome address, a color guard presentation, a post-event awards ceremony, and on-course chip timing with real time results and photos. Participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri-fit tech shirt; a no-shirt option is available for a reduced fee. Virtual participants receive the same medal and shirt and shipping occurs after the event. Virtual registrations are limited to U.S. addresses.
Race day packet pickup and registration are available at Arizona Falls. Race management accepts cash and credit cards on site. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are permitted but must start at the back of the pack. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. The event is pet friendly with leashes required. There is no bag check and no refunds or transfers for weather. Race day parking is provided at nearby locations including Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Arcadia Park, and Ingleside Middle School.
