Battle of the Branches 5K Run - Phoenix, AZ
Battle of the Branches is an annual 5K run and walk held at Arizona Falls in Phoenix to raise awareness and funds for the fight against Veteran suicide. The event is organized as a friendly competition among military branches, with a title awarded to the branch with the most registered participants. Proceeds support Veteran-specific services including Navigation, Peer Support, Advocacy, and Education.
Event options include both an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K. Virtual participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt, and race items for virtual entries are shipped after the event. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses.
Race features include chip timing with real time results and event photos available online and via a mobile app. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Race day packet pickup and registration are available at Arizona Falls. The event welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons when they start at the back of the field. Bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. The event is leashed pet friendly and has no bag check due to the common start and finish area.
Race day parking is provided at nearby locations including Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Arcadia Park, and Ingleside Middle School. The event is rain or shine and race related items are not mailed to no-shows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
