About the race
Battle of the Branches is an annual community 5K run and walk held at Arizona Falls on East Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona on October 3, 2026. The event raises awareness and funds to support efforts addressing Veteran suicide and related challenges.
The in-person 5K Run/Walk includes a team element in which each military branch competes for the title awarded to the branch with the most registered participants. Proceeds support veteran-specific services including Navigation, Peer Support, Advocacy, and Education through the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program.
A Virtual Run option allows participants to complete the event at any location. Virtual participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri-fit tech t-shirt, and items are shipped after the event. Virtual registrations are restricted to U.S. addresses. Race day participants receive a finisher medal and t-shirt unless they selected the no-shirt option at registration.
The event is chip timed with real time results and photos available through the race results platform and mobile apps. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age brackets for race day participants. Race services include packet pickup on race day at the event site.
