Battle of the Branches
The Battle of the Branches is an obstacle run where military members and civilians compete in teams to represent one of six branches: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, or Space Force. Teams of 2 to 4 face more than 20 military-style obstacles that test strength, speed, teamwork, and endurance.
Participants begin with a ruck march to the obstacle area, drop their pack, run the obstacle circuit, pass through a target range, then pick up their pack and ruck march back to the starting point. The fastest two- or four-person team is declared the winner and the winning branch receives the annual trophy.
The event is open to civilians, veterans, JROTC programs, recruiting stations, and others. Minimum age is 14 years with parent or JROTC program permission. Competitors must bring a backpack or rucksack containing non perishable food, hygiene supplies, or baby items. This event requires a team entry; solo entries are not permitted.
Event features include live music, a DJ, donated beer, vendors, and sponsors. A dedicated JROTC category awards a trophy and a $1,000 donation to the JROTC program of the fastest team. The event is scheduled for April 18 2026 at the Navy Seal Museum, 3300 N Hwy A1A, Fort Pierce, FL 34949. Ticket cost is $20 and registered participants receive an event shirt. Previous related events raised funds and collected donated items for veteran housing and support programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
