Battle Born Trail Run : October 24, 2026
The Battle Born Trail Run takes place at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Panaca, Nevada, on October 24, 2026. The event is held in observation of Nevada Day; Nevada became the 36th state on October 31, 1864. The races use dirt trails through Cathedral Gorge with views of the state park and the Panaca valley. The course includes marked trail sections and stairs up to Miller’s Point.
Distances and entry
The event offers four distances:
- 18.64 miles
- 10.31 miles
- 3.6 miles
- 1.864 km Dash
Entry fees listed: 3.6 miler $65, 10.31 miler $75, 18.64 miler $85. A virtual option is available for $65, shipping included. The 3.6-mile distance is offered both as a morning race and as a sunset race; participants can register for both for an additional $20 as a "Double The Battle" option. Online registration closes on Oct 23; registering by Oct 5 guarantees event swag. There is no race day registration and no refunds.
Course services and awards
Race entry includes a custom finisher medal, custom race swag, aid stations, and food and water at the finish. Aid stations at Miller’s Point provide water, snacks, and Tailwind electrolytes. Miller’s Point usually has a restroom but it is under construction this year; the visitor center at about mile 7.3 has a restroom and water. Prizes are awarded to top overall finishers; additional place awards apply if field sizes meet stated thresholds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
