Battle Born Trail Run
The Battle Born Trail Run takes place on October 24, 2026, at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Panaca, Nevada, and marks the ninth annual running in observation of Nevada Day. The event offers multiple distances that reference Nevada history.
Distances offered:
- 18.64 miles (new this year)
- 10.31 miles
- 3.6 miles with separate morning and evening sunset races
- 1.864k Dash
Course routes run on dirt trails inside Cathedral Gorge State Park and are marked. The route includes stairs that lead to Miller's Point. Aid stations are provided on course, and the finish area includes food and water.
Race entry includes a custom finisher medal and custom race swag. Prizes are planned for the top two overall winners in each distance; if more than 15 participants enter a distance, three places will be awarded. A virtual entry option is offered at a stated fee with shipping included.
Registration fees are published for each distance. A Double The Battle option permits entry in both a morning race and the evening 3.6 mile race for an additional fee and includes an additional finisher medal. Online registration has a stated closing date and there is no race day registration or refunds.
Millers Point aid stations provide water, snacks, and Tailwind electrolytes. A visitor center water station and restroom are available near mile 7.3 since the usual Millers Point restroom is under construction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
