Event overview
The Destination Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon and 10k is an annual road race organised by Destination Basingstoke. The event is held on traffic-free, closed roads and is noted for a community festival atmosphere. The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday 4 October. The headline sponsor is Phillips Law; other named partners include Lilly.

The half marathon route passes through countryside and villages and includes hills near Cliddesden and Farleigh Wallop. The 5k follows the same scenic corridor as the longer races, reaches a turning point on Farleigh Road, then loops back to the finish. In 2023 the 10k route was revised to make it easier for runners to record faster times.
Participation and community features
In 2025 the event added a 5k course, had separate start times for the half marathon and 10k, and attracted over 1,700 runners. A free one-mile children’s race for 5- to 10-year-olds is planned for 2026 with sponsorship support from Phillips Law. The event includes family-friendly races and public race-day support.
