Event overview
The Destination Basingstoke Phillips Law Half Marathon and 10k is an annual road running event organised by Destination Basingstoke. The 2025 event takes place on Sunday, 5 October. The course uses closed, traffic-free roads and passes through countryside and villages. The half marathon course includes hills near Cliddesden and Farleigh Wallop.
The event has run associated races for different ages and abilities. A new 5k course was introduced for 2025, following part of the same route and turning on Farleigh Road before returning to the finish. Organisers also run a free one-mile children’s race for 5-10 year olds in 2025. The 5k is open to runners aged 11 and over.

In 2024 the event had more than 1,100 runners and used separate start times for the half marathon and 10k. The 10k route was changed in 2023 with the stated aim of making it easier for runners to record faster times. Sponsors include Phillips Law and several local organisations.
