Basildon Half Marathon and Junior Race
Basildon Half Marathon and Junior Race is a road closed running event organised and presented by RunThrough. The course uses a mixture of urban and countryside roads with gentle undulations. A junior race is included alongside the half marathon.

There is a three hour cut off because of the road closures. Minimum age for the half marathon is 17; the junior race has no minimum age.
There is no designated event parking on site. Participants are advised to use town centre parking and walk to Basildon Sporting Village; Parkopedia is suggested to locate spaces. A secure marquee will hold baggage; baggage tags are attached to race numbers for drop off and collection.
Portable toilets will be available in the event village and approximately halfway on the course. Water is provided approximately every 5k and again at the finish, where finishers receive a medal and post race goodies.
Results are published on the RunThrough results page immediately after the race. An official photographer will take event photos that are posted on the event photos page. The event supports the Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
