Basildon Half Marathon and Juniors Presented by Utilize
The Basildon Half Marathon and Juniors Presented by Utilize takes place on Sunday 13 September 2026 and supports Changing Pathways. The event is organised by RunThrough and is based at Basildon Sporting Village.
The route leaves the sporting village and uses a combination of closed roads and public paths through the town. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are positioned along the course to guide and encourage participants.
Event formats:
- Half Marathon - not lapped course
- Juniors - two laps of track
The course has a three hour cutoff owing to road closure timings. Minimum ages are 17 for the half marathon and a maximum age of 11 years for the juniors. The juniors event runs on a track with two laps.
An event village operates at the venue offering food and drink options and finish-line items provided by partner organisations. A discounted event t-shirt is available when purchased as part of the entry; the organiser works with RT Kit on this provision.
