Basildon 10km 2026
The Basildon 10km takes place in Gloucester Park, located in the center of Basildon. The course utilizes the flat paths within the park and sections of the surrounding periphery roads. The event begins and ends at the athletics track situated inside the Basildon Sporting Village.
The route consists of two laps to complete the full distance. From the starting track, the course loops clockwise before entering Gloucester Park. Runners pass a small lake and exit onto the Ghyllgrove footpath. The path continues past Butneys and The Gore before turning onto Audley Way. The route then re-enters the park, passing the reed pond and following a long straight path parallel to the large lake. After circling the edge of the park, the course returns to the Basildon Sporting Village.

Participants pass through the middle of the sports center to reach a water station at the halfway point before starting their second lap. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, a snack, and a drink upon completing the race.
The venue at Cranes Farm Road is accessible by public transport, with the Basildon train station located a 5 to 10 minute walk away. Local bus services also serve the area, and vehicle parking is available within the leisure center car park.
