Basildon 10km 2026
The Basildon 10km is a road and park running event held at the Basildon Sporting Village and surrounding Gloucester Park. The course consists of two laps to complete the full 10 km distance. The route features flat paths and views of the local lakes in the heart of the town.
Participants begin the race at the Basildon Athletics Track. The course loops clockwise around the track before exiting into Gloucester Park. From there, the route heads toward the first mini bridge and passes a small lake near Ghyllgrove road. Runners then exit the park briefly to follow the paths along Ghyllgrove, Butneys, and The Gore, before turning onto Audley Way.
After re-entering the park, the course follows the perimeter of the reed pond and the long lake. This path leads runners back through the rear of the Basildon Sporting Village, where a water station is located. After completing a second lap of this route, the race concludes back at the athletics track.
