Basildon 10km 2026
Basildon 10km takes place in and around Gloucester Park with the start and finish at the athletics track inside Basildon Sporting Village. The course uses the park paths and nearby periphery roads to form two laps that together total 10 km.
The route runs clockwise from the track, follows a short section of periphery road, and returns into the park to pass small lakes, a reed pond and a mini bridge. Runners follow Ghyllgrove past Butneys and The Gore, then continue along Audley Way before re-entering Gloucester Park on a footpath that leads around the long lake and back to the sporting village.
A water station is provided at the halfway point. All finishers receive a bespoke finishers medal, a snack and a drink. Marshals and arrow signs will direct runners around the two-lap course. The registration desk is located next to the track for number collection.
The event is organised by Run Happy Run Healthy and uses facilities at Basildon Sporting Village and Gloucester Park in Basildon, Essex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
