Bashore Bash 6HR & 12HR Ultra
The event offers two timed trail ultra formats held at the Bashore Scout Reservation in the Blue Mountains, located at 160 Moonshine Road, Jonestown, PA 17038. Runners complete repeated loops on a trail course and may choose how many loops to run within each timed event.
The course is mostly single track with some double track and is described as technical. Runners should expect tree roots, rocks, dirt, mud and plenty of shade. Loop distance will be determined closer to the event based on trail conditions and is expected to be around 3.5 to 4 miles.
An aid and water station will be located at the start and finish area. There is space to set up a personal area for breaks and supplies near the start/finish. Bib pickup and check in take place in the parade field near the start/finish area, with nearby parking in the stone parking lot by the conference center; driving to the field to unload may be allowed when weather permits. Races have entry caps and may not offer day of registration if sold out.
Awards are given to the top male and top female in each event. Each participant receives a race tech shirt, a backpack and a finisher s buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
