Participants receive practical support from the organisers, including expert fundraising guidance, a Hike for Health t-shirt, a finishers medal, and a participant guide issued in the week before the event. There will be three aid stations on the route; refreshments are available at the start, and participants are advised to carry water.
The 10km route is described as accessible but includes cobbled streets and some narrow paths. Dogs are permitted, though the start and finish areas may be busy. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Photography and video will be taken on the day and may be used to promote future events; participants who prefer otherwise should contact the organisers. Adults taking part are asked to fundraise and suggested targets are provided; JustGiving is recommended for collecting sponsorship. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
