Barrow Runners Watermead 10K 2026
The Barrow Runners Watermead 10K is the second edition of this Leicestershire Road Running League race, held within Watermead Country Park in Leicester. The course is described as flat and scenic and is run on road and pavement. The event is limited to 600 entrants and the minimum age is 15 years.
Hosting the intended 10K is dependent on the installation of a new bridge over the River Soar. Bridge construction is behind schedule and the organisers will use an approximately 5 mile alternative route if the bridge is not open by race day. Entrants are advised there is no guarantee the distance will be 10K and no refunds will be issued if the backup route is used. The route will be officially re-measured following any change from the 2025 course.
Entry arrangements include an initial seven day period restricted to LRRL affiliated clubs, with the event to be advertised as open if entries are not full by 10 May. Entries close 16 May 2026 and transfers are allowed until midnight on 16 May 2026. Limited car parking is available and the park parking fee is included in the race fee. Race terms prohibit headphones and state no refunds or deferrals. League positions use gun times while individual and age group results use chip times.
