The Barossa Marathon Festival takes place in Barossa wine country and offers multiple race distances on a course described as flat and fast that winds through the region.

The race village and event facilities are located at The Rex, Barossa Aquatic Centre on Magnolia Road. The start, the 42.2 km turn and the finish are on Magnolia Road in front of the Aquatic Centre. The venue provides toilet and shower facilities, and a basketball court is used for bib collection, merchandise sales and bag drop. A canteen will supply hot and cold beverages and light meals.
Bib collection is available at locations including RunDNA in Hindmarsh, Château Tanunda and The Rex Aquatic Centre in the days before the event and on race morning. There is no late entry on race day; online late entry closes the day before the event.
Marathon runners may leave a marked personal drink at any of six drink stations by labelling their bottle with bib number and chosen station for collection before race day.
Access to race day parking is from Barossa Valley Way along Magnolia Road or from Neldner Road, with parking in The Rex car park or along Magnolia Road bordering Faith Lutheran College. SARRC will provide a bus service to and from Adelaide; return tickets are available for a fee of $25 return.
