Barossa Marathon Festival
Barossa Marathon Festival is scheduled for 23 August 2026 in the Barossa region of South Australia. The event uses a flat, fast course that runs through Barossa wine country and centres on a race village at The Rex Barossa Aquatic Centre on Magnolia Road.
Distances offered:
- 42.2 km marathon
- 21 km half marathon
- 10 km race
- 5 km race
The race village occupies facilities at The Rex, including toilet and shower amenities, a basketball court used for bib collection, merchandise sales and bag drop. The centre canteen will supply hot and cold beverages and light meals.
Bib collection is available on the lead-up days at RunDNA in Hindmarsh, at Château Tanunda, and at The Rex on race weekend. There is no late entry on race day and late entries close online on Saturday 22 August.
On-course services include drink stations and six locations where marathon runners may leave a personal drink bottle marked with their bib number and chosen station. Race day parking is accessed from Barossa Valley Way along Magnolia Road or via Neldner Road, with parking in The Rex car park and along Magnolia Road; parking is limited. SARRC will operate a bus service to and from Adelaide, with the trip taking about one hour.
