About the race
Barossa Marathon Festival takes place on 23 August 2026 in the Barossa wine country. The event uses a flat, fast course that starts and finishes at The Rex / Barossa Aquatic Centre on Magnolia Road, where the race village will be located and where toilets, showers and a canteen are available.

Race services and logistics include bib collection at multiple collection locations in the week before the event and on race weekend, drink stations where marathoners may leave a personal bottle at any of six stations (marked with bib number and station), and a shuttle bus service between race parking and the start/finish area provided free of charge. Parking is available at Bethany Reserve and along Bethany Road; limited parking near The Rex is expected. A bus service to and from Adelaide departs from MacKinnon Parade, North Adelaide, with a suggested trip time of about one hour and tickets priced at $25 return. Novotel Barossa Valley Resort is offering a 10% participant discount for accommodation over race weekend.
The event lists the Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation as official charity partner; the organiser will donate $1 per participant to that charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
