Event Overview

The Barn Burner is a training-focused running event located in Arlington, Washington. The race takes place at the Nakashima Heritage Barn North Trailhead and utilizes the Centennial Trail. Designed as a benchmark event for athletes to test their fitness during the summer season, the race provides an opportunity for runners to track their performance in warm weather conditions.

Course Details

The route is characterized by its mostly flat and paved surface. This terrain is intended to support pacing practice and goal-setting. Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

Participation and Timing

The event uses chip-to-chip timing to capture accurate results from the start to the finish line. Registration is open to all paces, including seasoned athletes, first-time runners, and families. Children participating in the event receive a finisher certificate, and the first-place finisher in the kids' category is awarded a medal.

All registered participants receive a finisher sticker and light post-race refreshments. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, with the first-place finishers in these categories receiving a Top Finisher Award. Additionally, all registered runners are entered into raffle drawings for entries into future LeeD Ventures Running events. Packet pick-up occurs on the morning of the race at the event site.
