Bark in the Park - Eureka
Bark in the Park is the 10th annual 5K held on October 17, 2026 at Sequoia Park, 3414 W St, Eureka, CA 95503. The event is organized as a charitable run with proceeds collected by Humboldt Bay Fire Local 652 and donated to a local animal charity.
This year the recipient is Sequoia Humane Society. The society's mission includes promoting the humane treatment of animals, reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs, supporting pet adoption, and providing community education.
The course consists of loops through Sequoia Park and passes among stands of redwood trees. Dogs are allowed to run with participants. At the finish there will be a raffle and opportunities to adopt dogs. Parking is on the street and is described as very limited.
