Bark in the Park Eureka
Bark in the Park is the 10th annual 5K held on October 17, 2026 at Sequoia Park, 3414 W St, Eureka, CA 95503. Humboldt Bay Fire Local 652 donates all race proceeds to an animal charity; this year the recipient is Sequoia Humane Society.
Sequoia Humane Society works to promote the humane treatment of animals and to end pet overpopulation by providing a high standard of care and through programs such as pet adoption, spay and neuter, and community education.
The course consists of loops through Sequoia Park and passes among the park's redwood trees. Dogs may accompany runners on the course. At the end of the event there will be a raffle and opportunities to adopt dogs.
Parking is on the street and is limited. Weather in Eureka can change at any time, so participants commonly plan for cooler or wet conditions after the run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
