The Bargara By Night 12hr Backyard Ultra takes place at Neilsons Beach in Bargara. This endurance event is held under the full moon and follows the traditional backyard ultra format. Participants must complete a 6.7 km loop within one hour. A new loop starts on the hour, every hour.
The event is designed to challenge runners to continue as long as they can maintain the required pace. While the name refers to a 12 hour period, participants have the option to continue for up to 18 hours if they wish to prolong the challenge.
The course is located along Fred Courtice Avenue, offering a coastal setting for the night run. It is organized by the Bargara Triathlon Club and focuses on endurance and steady pacing through repeated laps of the designated circuit.
