Australia Day Aquathlon: Bundaberg
The Australia Day Aquathlon is a swim and run event held at Norville Pool in Bundaberg on 26 January 2027. The program uses pool-based lane swims and road or path running around the venue, with multiple run and swim transitions incorporated into several race formats. The run course is described as flat and fast and the pool swims use lane-to-lane 50m lengths.
Races are organised in waves by category, with separate options for adult, team and junior competitors. Registrations close on 24 January; on-the-day entries incur a late fee for adults, teams and families and an additional fee for children aged 12 and under.
Event distances include:
- Sprint Aquathlon (14+): 3km run, 400m swim, 3km run, 400m swim, 2km run
- Give It a Try Aquathlon (13+): 3km run, 400m swim, 3km run
- All Abilities Junior (2 to 14 yrs): 300m run, 50m wade or swim, 300m run
- Hatchlings (3 to 6 yrs): 40m wade, 200m run
- Milbis (7 to 9 yrs): 500m run, 100m swim, 500m run
- Turtle (10 to 12 yrs): 1km run, 100m swim, 1km run, 100m swim, 50m run
