The Route

The course is off-road and includes tracks, grass paths, and hills. The route goes underneath Barbury Castle, ascends a hill known as the Iron Age Attack to reach the castle, and continues along Smeathes Ridge.

The start and finish location is the Barbury Shooting School near Wroughton. The entry fee is £15.00. There is no on-the-day entry; registration is required in advance. Online entries open on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 19:00 and close on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 20:00.

Amenities include toilets, first aid, a bag drop, and refreshments available for purchase after the run, including a drink and a BBQ. Parking is available on-site. Runners may participate with a dog on a lead. The course is marshaled.
